Google advertising & local visibility · Nice

Your customers are looking for you. Do they actually reach you?

I'm Ibrahim Daoud. I help businesses on the Côte d'Azur get found on Google — and I check that the people looking for you actually make it as far as your phone.

Get found

When someone searches for your trade nearby, you come up. Not your competitor.

Be reachable

Visitors can call you, message you, ask for a quote. Without anything breaking on the way.

Know what it earns

How many customers come from Google, and what they cost you. Without having to take my word for it.

Why position matters this much

Clicks on Google are not shared out. The first result takes about four in ten. The eighth takes two in a hundred. Almost nobody sees the second page.

≈ 40%of clicks go to the first result
≈ 2%to the eighth
< 1%to the whole of page two

Average click-through rates by position — First Page Sage meta-analysis, May 2025. Cross-industry averages, not a promise of results.

People search for your trade in Nice every day. What decides whether the phone rings at your place or your competitor's is simply where you appear on that screen.

The detail, position by position →

Usually the problem isn't the advertising

It's what happens afterwards. A button that doesn't respond. A form that won't send from a phone. A number you can't tap.

You can't see it: you never visit your own site the way a stranger would. And Google won't tell you — from where it sits, everything looks fine.

They see you on Google they click They reach you on your website You receive nothing the button doesn't work and nobody notices
You pay for the first three steps. The fourth is the one that earns you money — and it's the one nobody checks.

I test your site like a real customer

From a phone, unannounced, start to finish. Here's exactly what I do:

I search for your trade on Google

Do you come up? Where? And who is shown above you?

I visit your site on a mobile

Does it load fast? Can someone tell what you do within ten seconds?

I try to contact you

Form, call, message. I go all the way through and note everything that sticks.

Then I send you what I found, written plainly. If you'd rather fix it yourself, do. If you'd rather I handled it, we can talk — but that's not the condition.

What I do once we're working together

Google advertising

Appearing at the top when someone searches for your trade. You pay per visitor, so my job is simple: send your money towards people who can actually become customers, not towards the merely curious.

How I go about it →

Getting found without paying

Your Google listing, your reviews, the pages on your site. It works well and costs nothing per visitor — but it takes months, not weeks. I'd rather say so before we start than after.

How I go about it →

Checking it works

Knowing how many calls and enquiries really come from Google. Without that, nobody — you or me — can say whether the money spent is doing anything.

Free advice: don't switch your advertising off

This client paused his ads when cash was tight, then restarted them. Every time, Google starts over from nothing, and you pay again while it relearns.

On his account: every visitor cost 30% more. Same trade, same city, eight weeks apart. Better to spend less each day than to stop for a month.

What one visitor cost him Running continuously €2.03 Stopped and restarted €2.64 The same visitor, 30% dearer

The full story

He'd been paying for weeks for customers who couldn't reach him

Nobody had spotted it. Not him, not his webmaster, not Google.

I wrote up the whole thing: how I noticed, what I fixed, and what the numbers don't prove. It gets technical in places — but you'll see exactly how I work before trusting me with anything.

Who I am

I work alone, in Nice. You get me on the phone, not an account manager who changes every six months. Stearling Connection is an independent practice registered in France.

I speak French, English, German and Algerian Arabic — which helps on the Côte d'Azur, where the clientele isn't always French.

What I've done so far

  • A Google Ads campaign for a private hire operator between Nice and Monaco — the full story is here, figures and limits included.
  • The complete website for a renovation company: several languages, bookings, forms, portfolio. Built and delivered end to end.
  • A personal experiment on Instagram, several million cumulative views, to understand what actually makes content travel. It wasn't client work — I present it as what it is.

I don't promise a number before looking at your situation. What I publish here comes from a real account, with what it demonstrates and what it doesn't.
